How Upsell Credits Work in Vanga

What are Upsell Credits

Upsell Credits are a monetary bonus (in USD) that reduces the commission Vanga charges on revenue generated by upsells (Cart, Post-Purchase, Order Status). As long as you have credit, no commission is charged on new upsell revenue until the balance runs out.

Important: Upsell Credits are a discount on commission for stores on a paid plan. They don't replace connecting a billing plan — for Vanga's upsells to work, you first need to select a paid plan (even if you still have credit on your balance).

How to get credits

Invite a friend to install Vanga AI on their store. Once they've installed the app, reach out to us via Intercom chat (the button in the bottom-right corner of the app) and let us know — our team will promptly credit them.

To get credit for yourself, the store you referred needs to subscribe to a paid plan after their free trial ends. Once they do, reach out to us again via Intercom chat — after we verify it, your credit will be added.

You can always see your current credit balance on the Billing page.

How credit is applied

When an order includes upsell revenue, Vanga first deducts the commission amount from your credit balance — and only once the credit is exhausted does it charge commission at your plan's regular rate. Credit is applied automatically, with no extra action needed on your part — just connect a plan, and the system "eats into" the commission from your balance until it runs out.

During the free trial period, no commission is charged at all — credit isn't spent during this time.

What happens when credit runs out

Upsells keep working as usual — the only difference is that commission on upsell revenue starts being charged at your plan's regular rate.

FAQ

I have credit, but no plan connected — why aren't my upsells working? Credit alone doesn't activate the app. Select any billing plan on the Billing page — once you do, your available credit will immediately start covering your commission.
